Deskpad is small and fully student-led. Here is who is behind it.
Akshay Ganesh
Founder
Akshay founded Deskpad in early 2025 and is a senior at Woodside Priory School in the Bay Area. He works as a philosophy research assistant, and spends much of his free time going on walks, playing with his doberman, and watching sports.
He has played basketball competitively since elementary school. His favorite movie is The Social Network, and the song on repeat right now is Vienna by Billy Joel.
He has loved building Deskpad, but regrets how much sleep he has lost as a result.
Daniel Troshin
Head of Operations
Daniel is a senior at Saint Ignatius College Prep in San Francisco. His go-to hobbies are drawing, hiking, and fishing, usually on trips around the country with family and friends.
Above all, he is passionate about swimming. It has been his main sport for over eight years, and the source of an uncountable number of memories.
He also has a real curiosity for investing and finance, and loves following the markets and figuring out how the world of money works.
Trevor Liao
Head of Media
Trevor is a senior at Lowell High School in San Francisco. He is active and passionate in the photographic hemisphere and mainly specifies in swimming photography. He has photographed and received credentials at high levels meets including Speedo Sectionals, and CIF state championships.
With experience spanning product development, graphic design, social media strategy, and visual storytelling, Trevor brings a multidisciplinary perspective to building technology. His background in both creative and technical work allows him to bridge design, functionality, and user experience to create products people genuinely enjoy using.
